Kapamilya Overload!

Bea Alonzo proved once again her versatility as an actress as she plays a motherly role in this Mother's Day special of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

Adela came from a big family, and to help support them financially, she accepted an offer to be a maid in Manila. The family she will be working for is well known in that area, and they are hiding a secret to protect their family's name. Rose's daughter Monique bore a child out of marriage and the father left them. Adela became the child's "yaya".



After a few months Adela's feelings for the child developed, and she seem to care for her more than the child's real mother. When Adela heard the baby's first word, she vowed to herself to take care of this child like a mother.



Adela has seen the growth of Abby - she was with her all the time. Adela met Miguel in a mall during Abby's birthday, and from there on Miguel continuously courts Adela.

But all things have its ups and downs, and the time came for Abby to know the real situation.

But Abby was raised by Adela with so much love that it wasn't that hard for Abby to accept the real fact. At first it was difficult, but Abby had to accept it. Eventually the two parted ways, and Adela had a family of her own with Miguel.
