Hector was tasked to kill the sacrifice, but Hector has a good heart deep inside him and instead of killing Angela, he stabbed Lucas. Lucas transformed into the devil and followed Hector with Angela and Angelo while they are escaping.
Angelo was confused as to whom he should choose - his mother Angela or his father Lucas. While Lucas is at his back, Angela stabbed him using the knife for the sacrifice. The cult followers immediately turns into smoke and ash as their leader died.
A happy ending for the Cortez. Watch out for My Girl, the Philippine version starring Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.
